A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

A Personal Hello From Bill.

Aloha,

After more than 20 years in the trades, I’ve learned that people want more than a repair. They want someone they can trust.

That’s why I started Hana Hou: a locally owned company built around honest recommendations, quality work, and treating people with respect. Hawaii holds a special place in my family’s life, and its spirit of hospitality helps shape how we care for our customers and team.

Thank you for welcoming us into your homes. Your trust means a great deal to me.

Growing to Serve More of Southern California.

Murrieta / Temecula

There’s a lot happening at Hana Hou, and we’re excited to share the next chapter with you.

We’ve expanded into the Inland Empire with our office in Murrieta, serving Temecula and surrounding communities, bringing the same local service, craftsmanship, and customer-first approach that built Hana Hou in Orange County to more families and businesses.

We’re also expanding our services to include water, fire, and mold restoration. When unexpected damage affects your home or business, knowing who to call can make a difficult situation a little easier. Our goal is to be there for our customers when they need help getting their property back on track.

From air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and electrical to restoration, we’re continuing to grow the ways we serve you—while staying committed to the values that matter most: integrity, ownership, and doing the job right.

Thank you for trusting Hana Hou and being part of our journey. We look forward to serving you and your family for years to come.

CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALLGO HUSKIES!Proud to support our community.
GIVING BACK

Supporting Centennial High School Baseball.

At Hana Hou, being part of a community means more than serving the homes and businesses in it. It also means showing up for the people and programs that bring that community together.

We’re proud to partner with Centennial High School Baseball to provide a heating and cooling system for the team’s clubhouse. Our goal is to give the players and coaches a more comfortable space to gather, prepare, and build the relationships that make a team strong.

As Hana Hou continues to grow in the Inland Empire, we’re grateful for the opportunity to support local students and invest in the communities we serve.

Go Huskies!

DIY HOME TIP · THE COMPLETE GUIDE

Check Your HVAC Filter
Before Heating Season.

As the weather cools down, your heater may soon be getting more use. One of the easiest ways to help your system breathe is to check its air filter. A dirty filter can restrict airflow and make your system work harder than it needs to.

Here’s how to check it yourself:

A hand setting a thermostat to SYSTEM OFF.
STEP 01

Turn off your heating and cooling system.

Set your thermostat to “off” before removing the filter.

STEP 02

Find the filter.

It’s usually located behind a return air grille in a wall or ceiling, or in a filter slot near your indoor HVAC unit. Some homes have more than one filter.

STEP 03

Remove and inspect it.

Slide the filter out carefully. If it has a heavy layer of dust and debris, it’s time to replace it. If you’re unsure, take a photo and ask us.

STEP 04

Check the size and airflow direction.

The filter size is printed on its frame. You’ll also see an arrow showing the direction of airflow. Note which way it points before removing the old filter.

STEP 05

Install the replacement.

Use the correct size and type recommended for your system. Point the arrow in the same direction as the old filter—toward the equipment, or away from the room if the filter is in a return grille.

STEP 06

Close the grille or filter slot and turn your system back on.

Make sure the cover is secure, then return your thermostat to its normal setting.

If your filter is difficult to reach, the grille is unsafe to open, or you’re unsure which filter your system needs, give us a call. We’re happy to help keep your home comfortable.
